Most of the people have their own online identity whereas I am going to construct my online identity as a badminton lover. I hope to share some interesting post about badminton to get more people know and love with badminton.

I have been careful to think through how I want design my blog and what picture is suit for me. I have used a profile picture which my friends took for me last year when I was represent Deakin university to participate a badminton tournament at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. That is the picture when I was playing final game with full of passionate and pressure.
When I enrolled this unit, I just started my digital discovery and it was truly hard for me to participate in the online world. Therefore, I put a lot of effort to improve myself, I tried to post something on the tweeter and interact with people on the social media. Besides I am moving towards a more active, creative, and engaged participation with the internet.
But the more I participate in the internet, the more I become aware of the online identity I am creating.According to Smith & Watson 2014, “Online venues assume, invite, and depend on audiences, sometimes intimate, sometimes not”. Which mean that when constructing an online identity, it is important to be self-reflexive and conscious because of the public nature of the internet.
Other than that, I also started to use other platform to construct my online identity like WeChat, Instagram and Facebook. Firstly, In order to get more followers and get more famous on Instagram, I have uploaded a lot of interest post which related to badminton sport with using hashtag #badminton to increase more viewers and post some latest news on the Instagram story which can attract more people who have some interest with me to like my post and follow my account. Besides that, I have follow some famous badminton players like Lee Chong Wei, Viktor Axelsenand Carolina Marinon Instagram and sometime would comment on their post.
Not only Instagram, I also upload some post on my Facebook and WeChat which related to my badminton training and some achievement in my badminton career.

Next, I also building up my about.meprofile, this can been defining the surface level of my online identity and I am willing to show to all audience in any situation. Moreover, I have set up my academic identity with using my LinkedInaccount, in order to maintain my blog, I have tweet and re-tweet some relevant material under ALM101 hashtags
Over the course of the unit I have been active in contributing to ALM101 unit hashtags through my Twitter profile @OoiFung.
I have re-tweeted articles of interest, commented on other student’s blogs, and shared my own original thoughts. I have also been contributing to the unit by writing blog posts in my WordPress account. To date I have written some blog posts which related to unit material.
There is a lot of way for me to form or maintain relationship online. One of the ways upload a new post regularly and the post need to be interesting and creative, I can set a target for myself for example I need increase at least 50 followers on tweeter and Instagram in 6 months. Other than that, the thing that I post need to add some hashtag this might increase specific group of people to see it. Next, I will actively comment and like on other people’ post and reply on other people who comment on my post which might increase my relationship or network online.
